In 2015, the Sustainable Transportation Research Group of Tongji University and Sujiao Science Co., LTD successfully completed the translation of "Low Impact Development of Sustainable Road System: Design, Construction and Management". The translation work was led by Professor Li Hui and Dr. Zhu Haoran from Tongji University.

The content of this book is helpful to sustainable transportation development and transportation industry energy saving and emission reduction, which is helpful to promote our "carbon neutralization" vision. This book can be used as a reference book for researchers, engineers and government administrators engaged in low impact development of sustainable road systems. It can also be used as an introductory reference book for graduate students.

Key topics of the book include the concept of sustainable road systems, the use of sustainable materials in roads, sustainable pavement design, construction and operation of sustainable pavements, sustainable recycling, the relationship between road systems and livable communities, and sustainability assessment. This book synthesizes the relevant systematic knowledge of pavement sustainability to form a systematic study of the low impact development of sustainable roads. This book provides guidance for the construction and evaluation of the full life cycle phases of design, construction, operation and maintenance of sustainable road systems for low impact development.
